Features & Information
The Shoppes on Tower is a daring development in the heart of Monroe’s growing business district. Bold architectural styles and classic landscaping create an inviting and upmarket shopping experience. A perfect location for retailers and shoppers alike.
History
As longtime Louisiana residents and established project developers, Joe Holyfield and Chris Holyfield recognized the growing need for an upscale retail facility to cater to Monroe’s expanding retail demands. The Shoppes on Tower, born from this vision, was carefully planned and designed to attract discerning consumers.
Incorporating a unique blend of interesting architecture, stunning landscapes and upmarket retailers The Shoppes sets itself apart as a landmark destination.
Extensive research led to the site that plays host to this innovative project. Not only does The Shoppes offer 22 units of commercial investment space, but their location also takes advantage of the ever-increasing traffic of Tower Drive, now a major city thoroughfare.
The Shoppes on Tower I-III offers approximately 43,000 square feet of prime retail space; giving you the opportunity to come together with the creative, the culinary, and the fashionable to redefine the Monroe shopping experience.
Features
Location is everything. The Shoppes on Tower’s relaxed, upmarket atmosphere embraces each and every shopper while beautifully designed spaces create the perfect setting for your brand.
Architecture
Three towers stand out as the main architectural feature of Shoppes I; an eye-catching reminder of this center’s upscale status. Stonework and stucco trim form a large percentage of Shoppe I’s exterior finish, accented by stone columns and high-pitched roofs.
Shoppe II’s brick façade and vaulted ceilings complement its early 19th-century industrial architecture with vaulted ceilings, raw materials, and exposed brick walls. Large windows add plenty of natural light creating an open and inviting shopping experience.
Decorations
The Shoppes on Tower is a beautifully decorated complex. Borrowing from the past it fuses together the old world and the new. Twin globed Victorian street lamps provide a warm glow in the evenings while gas lanterns and suspended lighting illuminate the entrances and walkways. Gorgeous copper awnings and wooden shutters add a romantic flair to the already attractive façade.
A rarity today, you’ll also find plenty of unique and interesting artwork. Finally, there are plenty of benches for lingering and resting tired feet.
Landscaping
Exquisite landscaping complements the unique architecture of this development. Beds of flowers, tall grasses, and annual plantings soften the stone and brick façades and add a dash of color. Well-placed perennials, trellises, and potted shrubs create a sense of luxury and elegance. Lining the curving, paved sidewalks and street edge are 30ft tall walnut trees adding to the established feel of the center.
On the north edge of the property, you will find a public use community park with grass-covered moguls and crushed granite walkways. The Shoppes also features a spacious and beautifully landscaped plaza with wooden benches, fragrant flowers, and seasonal plantings. All in all The Shoppes on Tower creates a very inviting and relaxing atmosphere where shoppers can come to eat, discover and shop at their leisure.
